2019 seen the launch of quite a few amazing cars, including our favorite of them all: the Koenigsegg Jesko. However, most of the cars launched this year are still not put into production. Take the Jesko for example, Koenigsegg promised it will hit a top speed in excess of 300 mph, but this will not happen until late in 2020. So, which are the fastest cars available in 2019? Here they are!

1. Koenigsegg Agera RS: 277 MPH

Launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show the Regera RS holds the record for the fastest car in the world since 2017. The RS is powered by a  5.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that delivers a total of 1,160 horsepower and 944 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 277 mph. Only 25 units were built.

2: Hennessey Venom GT: 270 MPH

Hennessey is working on an improved version of the Venom GT that is supposed to hit a top speed of more than 300 mph, but until then their speed record is 270 mph – a record established back in 2014. Since then the Venom GT Spyder also became the fastest convertible in the word, with a top speed of 167.7 mph. The Venom GT is powered by a Corvette-sourced, twin-turbo, 7.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 1,451 horsepower at 7,200 rpm and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds.

The BC is powered by a 6.0-liter V-12 engine that delivers a total of 739 horsepower and 738 pound-feet. This may not sound as a lot when compared to the previous supercars listed, but with improved aerodynamics, Pagani was able to obtain a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 238 mph.

6. Rimac Concept_Two: 230 mph

Rimac is again a brand not many people heard about. It comes from Croatia and became famous with the launch of the Concept_One – a model that made quite an impression on Richard Hammond. It is powered by four electric motor – each powering one of the wheels, that deliver a combined output of 1,500 horsepower and 1,700 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 2 seconds and up to a top speed of 230 mph. Not bad at all for an electric supercar.

10. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: 212 MPH

Chevrolet just launched the C8 Corvette, but in just its base form, the C8 Corvette is not very fast. Well, not fast when compared to the previous Corvette ZR1. The ZR1 is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 212 mph.
