After being announced at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show with just one engine, the 2020 Supra is finally getting more options. Toyota announced that the European market will get an additional 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line, four-cylinder engine.
The new engine will deliver a total of 258 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It will sprint the car from 0 t0 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds and up to a top speed of 155 mph. By comparison, the existing turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline-six engine delivers a total of 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, while top speed is limited to the same 155 mph.
There is a trick though, the new engine will only be offered in an exclusive, limited edition Fuji Speedway version. This stands out with a unique white metallic paint finish for the bodywork with contrasting 19-inch matt back alloy wheels and red door mirror housings. In the cabin there are carbon fiber dashboard trim inserts and striking red and black Alcantara upholstery. The color choices evoke those of the official TOYOTA GAZOO Racing livery.
Where equipment specifications are concerned, the Fuji Speedway also comes with all the features of the Connect and Sport packs (detailed above). This Fuji Speedway edition is built for the launch of the 2 liter with production strictly limited to just 200 examples in Europe.
