After being officially unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the all-new Korando goes on sale today at a starting price of £19,995. Now in its forth generation, the Korando has been described as a SUV that will “stand apart from rivals by matching the unique preferences and needs of the millennial generation, those with growing families or active lifestyles, and with up to a 2-tonne towing capacity, it will also appeal to SsangYong’s loyal, existing customers from the caravanning and towing fraternities.”

The 2020 Korando offers seating for 5 persons, plenty of leg room and a trunk space that should be more than enough for a family: 1,248 liters. Customers can also choose between both gasoline and diesel engines: an uprated136-horsepower 1.6 Diesel engine or a 163-horsepower 1.5 GDI-turbo petrol engine. The SUV is also offered with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive that makes it suitable for both city and off-road driving.

The good news is that SsangYong is expecting the Korando to obtain a 5*Euro-NCAP safety rating – which will also make it a very good choice for people looking for safety.
