Seat first presented the Tarraco in 2018 at the Paris Motor Show, but at its launch it was only offered with diesel and gasoline engines. Now the Spanish maker is also presenting a plug-in hybrid powertrain technology and the sporty FR trim. The new Tarraco FR PHEV will make its world debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Under the hood of the new Tarraco FR PHEV Seat placed a powertrain system that combines a 1.4 liter TSI 110 kW petrol engine, 85 kW electric motor and a 13 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This system delivers a total of 245 horsepower and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.4 seconds. Top Speed is 217 km/h.

As for the FR trim it will be distinguished by the rest of the lineup thanks to enhanced, with wider wheel arches, a sporty rear spoiler and FR-specific 19” alloy wheels, plus a distinctive FR grille. The SUV is also painted in a new color – Fura Grey.

The interior gets electric sports bucket seats with memory function, SEAT’s latest generation infotainment system, aluminum pedals and a new sports steering wheel with FR logo.

The new Tarraco FR PHEV will go on sale in 2020.
