We were all impressed by the Senna GTR. Looks mean, has a lot of power and it is fast. But there is something wrong with it tho: it is not street legal. Well, or at least it wasn’t until now. It looks like McLaren will make three of these Senna GTR street legal. They will be called Senna Can-Am and they were commissioned by a retailer through MSO.
As its name suggests, the Senna Can-Am was built as a tribute to McLaren’s successful Can-Am race cars from the 60’s & 70’s. Not many details are available on the Senna Can-AM just yet, but we do not it will be powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that delivers a total of 814 horsepower.
It comes painted in a special orange paint with a racing number on the hood and Bruce McLaren’s signature on the rear fender. It will also offer four-spoke silver alloy wheels with polished outer rim, and four exit exhaust pipes.
The interior is just as exclusive and is wrapped in a bespoke black Alcantara trim. There is also a Can-Am logo, a badge with the car’s production number and details about the original race car’s victories.
As you imagined the car is of course not cheap: $1,5 million, but do not worry. All three units were already spoken for.
