BMW Motorsport GmbH was founded back in 1972 and ever since them the racing cars it developed were very easy to recognize thanks to their unique color combination: light blue, dark blue and red. Now, in 2019, during the DTM weekend being held from 13 to 15 September, BMW will pay tribute to its heritage with the special editions M4 Edition ///M Heritage. They will of course be offered in three body colors: Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue metallic and Imola Red and will be limited to only 750 units. They will be sold worldwide between November 2019 and April 2020.

Next to the three unique colors, the M4 Edition///M Heritage will also be distinguished by a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic roof with decorative strip in the BMW M colors, unique, forged, 20-inch M light alloy wheels in a star spoke design featuring the color Orbit Grey matt and fitted with mixed tires.

For the interior, BMW will offer full leather M seats in a bicolor design and with prominent openings within the area of the seatbacks. These seats will be offered in different colors depending on the exterior paint: Silverstone/Black with turquoise stitching or Velvet Blue and Orange for the cars coming with the two Blue exterior paints, or Red and Black with yellow and red contrast stitching for the cars wearing the Imola Red paint. Of course, being a special edition you will also get “Edition ///M Heritage” and “1/750” emblems on the door sills and the lettering “///M Heritage” on the front headrests.

Under the hood BMW will place the usual straight six-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 450 horsepower.
