2020 Audi S5 Coupe

The Audi A5 made its world debut in 2007, and, in the same time with the standard version, a more powerful, more aggressive looking S5 was also presented. In 2016 Audi brought a new generation and now at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show is time to see a new facelift for the entire A5 lineup, the S5 Coupe included, of course.

Just for like the coupe and cabrio versions, for the S5 Coupe most of the updates where made on the outside, with the front end being the one that was significantly revised. The Singleframe with the honeycomb grille is now flatter and somewhat wider, while the ventilation slits above the grille are reminiscent of the classic Audi Sport quattro from 1984. The front bumper was also revised, and it now features larger air inlets. For the rear Audi is offering a redesigned diffuser insert with trapezoidal tailpipes. The S5 Coupe version also gets four round exhaust tailpipes.

The interior also received a series of small updates, starting with a larger MMI touch display and a multicolor contour/ambient lighting package. The rotary pushbutton used in previous models were replaced by a 10.1-inch touch display with acoustic feedback, making the graphics clean and reduced. The MMI search has been enriched with natural-language voice control, while new functions also make navigation intelligent and intuitive. These functions include Audi connect and Audi connect plus, Car-to-X service traffic light information, myAudi app and the optional digital Audi connect key.

Depending on the market the S5 Coupe can be ordered with either a 3.0 TDI or a 3.0-liter TFSI engine. The diesel version delivers a total of 347 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, while the gasoline version delivers a total of 354 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. The TDI version goes from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, while the TFSI version will only need 4.7 seconds. Both versions will be limited to 155 mph.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic and sends its power to all four wheels via a permanent quattro all-wheel drive system.

In Germany prices will for the S5 Coupe will start from 66,500 euro.
