The RS has a history of 25 years, but never during this period the RS6 Avant was offered on the North American market. Things are about to change tho, as – for the very first time ever – Audi will be offering the RS6 Avant to its American customers.
The RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers a total of 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/g is done in 3.6 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155 mph – numbers which are going to make the RS6 one of the most competitive station wagons on the market.
On the exterior, the RS6 will be very easily to recognize thanks to the new RS design language: three-dimensional RS-specific honeycomb structure within the Singleframe grille finished in gloss black, an RS bumper that extends into the lower edge of the headlights, an RS-specific bumper with rear diffuser, an RS exhaust system with oval chrome-colored tailpipes.
The new Audi RS6 Avant will be put on sale in 2020. Prices will be announced at a later date.
