ATS was established by former Ferrari employees Carlo Chiti and Giotto Bizzarrini in 1963, but it disappeared only 2 years later, in 1963. In 2012 the company made a comeback as the ATS Automobile and since then it was focused on creating a road-going supercar. But, their latest new division – ATS Corsa – is preparing a comeback on racing tracks with a new and in-house developed car: the RR Turbo.
The RR Turbo is powered by a Honda-supplied 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 600 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed 3MO FTX sequential transmission with limited slip differential.
The car was built on a chromium molybdenum spaceframe chassis that weighs only 88 pounds and helps keeping the total weight down to 1,720 pounds.
The RR Turbo also offers a double wishbone pushrod suspension with electronic Tractive shock absorbers adjustable via the touchscreen display, Michelin racing tires, AIM dash logger and four-piston Brembo calipers with steel discs.
The RR Turbo will go on sale in the spring of 2020 at a price of €110,000.
